Canadian Minister issues the statement related to Lunar New Year.


Ottawa, January 30, 2014 – Minister for Multiculturalism, Jason Kenney released the statement to mark the celebration of the Lunar New Year.

Canadians of Vietnamese, Korean and Chinese heritage will come together with family, friends and the community to celebrate the start of a wonderful year.

Lunar New Year is known as Tết to those of Vietnamese origin, Chinese New Year or Seollal to Korean Canadians, it is a time to show an image of the past, recognize good fortune and look forward to the future.

As Minister for Multiculturalism, Mr. Jason Kenney offered his warmest wishes to everyone celebrating the Lunar New Year, and he also hope a new year will be a year of health, happiness and prosperity for all.
